External Advisory
External advisors represent the individuals and groups outside the Berkeley campus supporting new ideas in energy and environmental management. The center harnesses the experience and expertise of key professionals in the industry to act as external advisors. To create a useful link between Berkeley and the external energy community, it is important to ensure that the center’s focus remains relevant and useful to both groups. External advisors will be asked to advise and support the center’s executive directors on how CEEI can best work with companies, government, and non-profits. This advisory board will also have the opportunity to connect to people and work at UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National laboratories, two leading public institutions for energy and environmental innovation. This connection may foster the development of new technologies, encourage new analysis into energy markets and policies, recruit the next energy leader in a particular sector, or possibly help accelerate the transition of a new energy innovation to market. |
